Photovoltaic Training Bench

Concept Design & Design for manufacture

The training bench will be used in more than 40 industrial polytechnics schools throughout Chile.

After a private tender, while working as a Product Design and Development Leader at Phineal, a photovoltaic training bench was designed to be used in technical secondary schools throughout Chile. The project was financed by the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Education and the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit). It was intended to optimize the use of space and the durability of an earlier model.

Each component and element has been designed to be manufactured in compliance with the standards of quality and safety associated with educational equipment, as well as to enable its replicability, replacement of components, technical service and manufacturability, subjected to the constraints of the manufacturing industry in Chile. The bench is designed according to the principles of universal ergonomics.

In addition to the bench, a photovoltaic panel transport module has been designed, together with a storage area for the educational and training materials associated with the bench.
